LEADING LADIESBring your love of musical theatre and the arts to our community by joining the Leading Ladies – a dynamic group of women with a shared passion for musical theatre and commitment to TUTS Education and Community Engagement efforts. This membership-based organization supports TUTS through volunteering and fundraising, with access to exclusive TUTS events. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: THE RIVERThe River provides an affordable, accessible arts education to individuals with disabilities and their siblings @ the City of Houston’s Metropolitan Multiservice Center @ 1475 West Gray in Houston 77019. Volunteers aid students and staff during classes in Acting, Music, Art, and Dance! Enthusiastic and caring volunteers help support student success and make a difference in our students’ lives encouraging students to achieve their creative potential.

The River has opportunities for volunteers during classes on Saturdays from 8:30AM – 1PM in the Fall and Spring semesters.  Volunteers are expected to participate in a minimum of 3 Saturdays, plus the End of Semester Recital. Volunteers must register at least two weeks prior to service to allow time for a background check to be completed. All volunteers are required to attend a virtual orientation each semester.

FUNDRAISING EVENTSBe a part of TUTS sparkliest night of the year by volunteering for our annual fundraising gala supporting Theatre Under The Stars. Volunteer support is vital to the success of this event, both during the planning and preparations, as well as on event night. No matter your schedule or background, we can find a great role for you.

Volunteer support is needed for:

• Auction donation solicitation and retrieval
• Guest and auction data entry
• Event set-up and preparations
• Volunteer hospitality
• Night-of event support
